These Terms of Use govern your use of aicauthority.org, including the certification information, exam registration inquiries, and credential verification service it provides. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
By accessing or using aicauthority.org, submitting a form on the site, or applying for an AICA certification, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the site. These terms apply in addition to, and do not replace, the Code of Professional Conduct and Exam Policies that separately govern certified professionals and candidates.
AICA operates aicauthority.org to publish certification information and standards, receive inquiries about certification through its forms, and operate a public credential verification service. AICA sets and certifies the standard; Authorized Training Partners (ATPs) deliver the training and proctor exams. AICA does not itself deliver training courses.
The credential verification service lets anyone check the authenticity of an AICA credential, including through a public verification page and, for AI agents, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Details on how verification works are published on verify.html.
The site does not currently require you to create a user account. You interact with it through public pages and forms, such as inquiry, certification, and newsletter forms. Where you submit a form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it, for example on behalf of your organization where a form asks for company details.
You agree not to:
AICA may restrict or terminate access to the site or the verification service for anyone who violates this section.
AICA owns its curriculum, certification names and marks (including CCAIO, CCAIGO, CCAAO, CAIGP, CAAP, and CAIP), the Curriculum Standard, the Code of Professional Conduct, and all other content it publishes on this site, except where otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from this content without AICA's permission.
Use of the AICA name, badges, certification marks, and logos, including by certified professionals and Authorized Training Partners, is governed by the Badge and Trademark Policy.
Certification and examination terms, including proctoring, retakes, appeals, and revocation, are published in full on Exam Policies, and the conduct standard that binds candidates and certified professionals is published on Code of Ethics. Rather than duplicate that detail here, these Terms of Use incorporate both pages by reference. The headline terms are:
Where any conflict exists between this section and the full text of Exam Policies or the Code of Ethics, the full text on those pages governs.
Current certification fees are published on Get Certified. As of this policy's effective date, the published fees are USD 1,600 for CAIP and USD 2,400 for each of the other five certifications. Retake and renewal fees are not yet published. AICA may update fees from time to time; the fee that applies to you is the fee published at the time you register and pay for a certification.
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. AICA does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
AICA does not guarantee that holding a certification will result in any particular employment outcome, promotion, or business result, and does not guarantee that any candidate will pass an examination. A certification reflects that a candidate met a published standard at the time of assessment; it is not a promise about your career or your organization's results.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AICA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or its services. AICA's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount, if any, you paid to AICA for the certification or service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws applicable to AICA's operations. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
AICA may update these Terms of Use as its services or applicable law change. Where these terms are revised, the effective date below is updated. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
